Mendip Crematorium in Wells is a completely modern establishment, allowing us to provide both direct cremations and simple funeral services. Opened by the then Bishop of Taunton in 2011, the crematorium is set within five acres of scenic grounds, carefully maintained to retain a tranquil and relaxing atmosphere. The chapel caters for all faiths and cultural requirements and, with seating for 94 plus additional space, can accommodate larger congregations.The Gardens of Remembrance provides a peaceful environment in which you can spend time in quiet contemplation. They are open all year around, including Christmas and Boxing Day.As well as the cathedral city of Wells, the crematorium serves families from the surrounding towns and villages in the Mendip district of Somerset. Beckenham Crematorium has beautiful Gardens of Remembrance, which are calm and comforting. They also include rose beds and private gardens where you can spend time and reflect. The gardens are open 365 days a year.
The crematorium also has disabled access, disabled toilets and a hearing loop.
