The remaining funds are placed into the UK Funerals (2022) Trust, which guarantees the provision of your direct cremation funeral when the time comes.

How does our funeral plan price compare with the cost of a funeral today?

The total cost of your funeral plan is £1,799. That’s £74.95 per month for 24 months, including a £100 instalment fee.

For comparison, arranging a similar funeral today through Simplicity Cremations would start from £1,149. Depending on the circumstances, additional charges may apply:

• £75 - for the return of ashes in a simple container at a mutually agreed time.
• £250 - for an urgent collection, applicable when someone dies in a location without a mortuary, such as a private residence or care home.
• £195 - to collect the person who has died outside standard working hours (our standard hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday).

Including all of these services, the total cost would be £1,699.
