Our prepaid cremation plans cover all of the necessary elements of a simple cremation including cremation fees, a simple coffin and transport in our specialised vehicles. Whether your plan is needed in the next 12 months or 25 years from now, the price of the cremation plan is guaranteed to remain fixed.
Select a prepaid cremation plan based on the number of people you’d like to attend your funeral; your family will have the option to make any additional arrangements when the time comes.
What's not included in a Simplicity Prepaid Cremation Plan
It’s important to understand what isn’t included in a Simplicity Prepaid Cremation Plan. Our cremation plans do not include:
* Medical certification fees. For deaths where a coroner investigation is required, there are no medical certifications fees. Also, changes to legislation in May 2015 mean there will no longer be a charge for a medical certification for any deaths registered in Scotland. Similar legal changes are being considered for the rest of the UK, so we do not include provision for these fees in our Plans. If the funeral takes place outside of Scotland, and a coroner is not involved, then if applicable, the medical certification fees should be paid by the next of kin or personal representative, when arranging the funeral.

Who are the FPA?
The Funeral Planning Authority (FPA) was set up to regulate providers in the UK prepaid funeral plan industry, to ensure providers that are FPA registered are operating in a manner will mean the customers get the funeral that they have paid for when they need it. In order to safeguard customers, the FPA states that all registered funeral plan providers must place the client’s money in a whole of life insurance policy on the life of the Planholder, or place monies in a trust. Will my money be safe?
The money you pay for your Simplicity Cremation Prepaid Funeral Plan goes into the National Trust Fund, where it is held securely and managed carefully to make sure that the services in your plan are covered. The Trust is independently managed by some of the UK’s most respected investment companies, so you can be sure it will be properly protected. This allows us to guarantee that no matter what happens, there will always be sufficient money within the Trust Fund to honour our agreement with our Planholders.
What happens to the plan if I move house?
Simplicity Prepaid Plans are available throughout mainland Great Britain. If you move house, contact us and we can update our records.
Are there any criteria to be accepted for a prepaid funeral plan?
As long as you're aged 50 or over, you’re guaranteed to be accepted for a Simplicity Prepaid Funeral Plan.
My funeral wishes are included in my will, why do I need a prepaid plan?
Wills are often left unread until after the funeral so it can be difficult to ensure your wishes are passed on.
I have savings and life insurance, will this not cover the costs of my funeral?
With funeral costs rising year on year, you may find that your savings and life insurance aren’t enough to cover the cost of a funeral. By taking out a Simplicity Prepaid Funeral Plan, you can guarantee there will be no more to pay for the funeral services covered in the plan when the time comes.
What happens if funeral costs rise in future?
A funeral plan is designed to cover the costs of your chosen funeral package even if prices go up in future. So, you can be sure there will be no ‘hidden costs’ further down the line for the services covered by your plan.
I like the sound of a Simplicity Cremation, but I’m not ready to commit to a prepaid funeral plan, how can I share my wishes?
If you’re thinking about a Simplicity Cremation for yourself, but you’re not ready to buy a funeral plan yet, our share your wishes form might be for you.
Can I take out a funeral plan on another person’s behalf?

Arrange the send off you want with a prepaid cremation plan
A prepaid cremation plan is the smart way of paying for your funeral in advance. It allows you to protect your loved ones from rising funeral costs, as well as ensuring your funeral is carried out according to your wishes.
It can be difficult to talk about funerals with your family and how you’d like things to be arranged, but it is important to make your funeral wishes known, especially if you have specific requests.
Paying for your funeral in advance can not only help ensure your wishes are honoured when the time comes, but also relieve your loved ones from any stress or uncertainty over what you would have wanted.
Our focus on the practical and essential elements of the funeral puts you in control of the finer details.
Your funeral wishes can be as simple or as detailed as you like. Maybe you’d like your favourite song to be played in the chapel or there’s a particular reading you would like a loved one to read, or perhaps you’d prefer a direct cremation with a separate memorial at a place special to you.
It can be challenging to talk about funerals with your family and how you’d like things to be arranged. Putting a prepaid funeral plan in place can help ensure your wishes are carried out when the time comes.

Your family will have the freedom to make additional arrangements when the time comes.
Our funeral plans do not include some of the more expensive costs such as a hearse, limousines and pallbearers. This means we can provide our funeral services for much less than a traditional funeral director.

A Simplicity Cremations Prepaid Funeral Plan is one of the most affordable ways of paying for your funeral in advance. You’ll know exactly how much you have to pay without having to worry about inflation or future price rises.
Taking care of your funeral arrangements with Simplicity Cremations means you can fix the cost of the services in the Funeral Plan at today’s price with no more to pay for these services in the future, no matter how much costs may increase.
A prepaid funeral plan will also help to protect those left behind, helping to avoid placing a financial burden on your family in the event of your death.
In addition to this, our cremation plans give you the option to spread the cost, allowing you to pay for your funeral in instalments from as little as £15.97pcm, something not currently available from most funeral providers when paying for a funeral when the time comes. We have a range of flexible funeral payment options, so you can pay the way that suits you.
